Couldn’t pass up this article

Can you believe this article- ‘Teaching Beekeeping to Kids Improves School Behavior’?! How perfect is that?!

This article is about a school in London that kept bee hives and taught kids how to take care of the bees. One of the uenxpected results was that kids who had a history of problem behavior at the school improved their performance during other classes, too.

One child said, “The bees made me feel peaceful and calm.”

Interesting…I wonder what Buddy the Bee thinks….

Poem for Teachers

Gratitude to Old Teachers

Robert Bly

When we stride or stroll across the frozen lake,
We place our feet where they have never been.
We walk upon the unwalked. But we are uneasy.
Who is down there but our old teachers?

Water that once could take no human weight-
We were students then-holds up our feet,
And goes on ahead of us for a mile.
Beneath us the teachers, and around us the stillness.
