  • ABA — Applied Behavior Analysis-the science of behavior.
  • ABC Analysis — An analysis tool that tracks Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence relations and identifies trends in behavior based on time, people, location, activity and the events that occur after the behavior.
  • Antecedent — A stimulus/event that occurs prior to a behavior. Antecedents can be changed to prevent behavior issues.
  • Appropriate/Inappropriate behaviors — Appropriate behaviors include socially accepted means of communication and interacting with the environment and inappropriate behaviors are not acceptable and should be replaced with behaviors that are more adaptive. Appropriate behavior should be reinforced and inappropriate behavior should be extinguished.
